Modern Elegance: Nina & Mark’s Stylish Chiswick House Wedding

I have so much love for the dreamy images captured by Charlotte Nelson Photography of Nina and Mark’s wedding. On one of June’s hottest days, St Mary’s Church, Barnes offered a cool and beautiful setting for their ceremony. Afterwards, guests travelled by vintage red London buses to Chiswick House and Gardens — a classic London touch, perfectly woven into the day.

The styling was modern yet elegant, designed to complement the house and gardens — an oasis of history and greenery in the city. A blush palette tied everything together: bridesmaids in tonal gowns of varied silhouettes; florals and foliage arranged with quiet refinement; and long tables dressed with linen, glass, and metallic accents. Every element was carefully considered, yet never overstated.

The couple’s page boys, Nina's nephews, brought the effortless (and cheeky) balance only children can. Suited but a little undone by the heat and formality, they slipped between official duties and mischievous antics — leaving photographer Charlotte and me quietly giggling during the group shots.

On the lawns, trays of champagne and Aperol flowed, and a brief spell of welcome drizzle nudged guests beneath parasols before dinner inside the marquee: a three-course menu of scotch egg starter, steak, and strawberry delice by Create London.

The celebration felt distinctly theirs. Nina’s meticulous attention shaped the detail and flow; Mark’s wit and warmth shaped the mood. Precision met ease, tradition met playfulness, and every choice was rooted in love.
