It's not often that the photographer sends you some sneaky images of a wedding a few hours after the wedding finishes, so, when these beautiful images arrived in my inbox today from the talented Rebecca Searle, I had to share them with you! Nicky and Chris married yesterday in a beautiful London ceremony at the Church St Clement Danes on The Strand. If you live near London or ever visit, it is really worth a trip. It has to stand out as one of the most breathtaking interiors I have ever seen and the history of the church is fascinating. The Central Church of the Royal Air Force, over 1000 years of history and designed by Sir Christopher Wren - I could write a blog post about it alone (oh and it is also the church featured in the nursery rhyme "Oranges and lemons said the bells of St Clement's).
Nicky and Chris chose a very classic and elegant black and white theme for their wedding styling, Nicky had a very clear idea of her vision and, what a vision it was. You can't go wrong with a beautiful idea and a master supplier team to make it happen. The wedding reception was held in the Palm Court and Ballroom of the Kimpton Fitzroy, London. refurbished in recent years, this venue has a wonderful feel -the Palm Court is like little oasis of cool...
Jen of Liberty Lane flowers designed a show stopping runner of white buds of gyp for the long top table and, between us, we convinced our Bride to opt for a black candle colour choice. The result was better than I could ever imagined - unique and elegant with lots of carefully thought out details personal to the Bride and Groom (hand written note favours and embroidered napkins...). The cake by Anna Lewis was a work of contemporary art and Tanya of Bureau design delivered (as always) on the stationery detail.
